San Antonio is Growing!
San Antonio, Texas, has seen an amazing amount of growth in the past decade and more businesses continue to locate to this growing city. Because of this the employment outlook in San Antonio is positive. It is believed the job market in San Antonio is so strong because the job market is so diverse. The growth rate for 2004 saw 12,000 new jobs and this jumped significantly in 2005 to more than 18,000 jobs. It is believed by 2009 there will be close to 90,000 additional new jobs in the San Antonio area. That is some serious growth!
Currently, the sectors that offer the most jobs in San Antonio include tourism, government, transportation and utilities, educational and health services, as well as professional and business services. Many businesses that have barriers to obtaining the capital they need to start a company, are assisted through the Texas Economic Development program.
